Medical pedicure is a foot care procedure performed by medical practitioner – podologist – for treating various foot problems.

Podologist evaluates the overall state of feet and toenails, taking note of any deviations in the condition of the skin or toenail structure, as well as examines the general health of feet and legs. A pedicurist performs a pedicure on healthy feet only.

The difference between medical pedicure and classic pedicure

Classic pedicure is an aesthetic foot care procedure, suitable for healthy feet. If during medical pedicure procedure the podologist does not observe any problematic areas on feet, the procedure then is same as classic pedicure. It is advised to see a podologist for classic pedicure – the specialist’s in-depth knowledge allows timely diagnosis of toe, foot or toenail deformation in their early stage, providing the opportunity for the necessary medical foot care.
