COVID-19: The latest information on the operation of the clinic

17.03.2020

Keep track of the latest information (18/03/2020, 10:00 a.m.) on the working hours of J. Ķīsis’ Clinic of Aesthetic Dermatology during the Covid-19 emergency.

Currently, the flu-like illness, Covid-19, has forced most countries around the world to implement self-isolation and quarantine their citizens. However, the primary task of doctors is to help the sick.

Prof. J. Ķīsis’ Clinic of Aesthetic Dermatology will CONTINUE to operate, but we urge everyone to critically evaluate their health before coming in for an appointment.

Since illnesses do not get cured or go away on their own, the clinic has made a responsible decision to continue working during the Covid-19 emergency, taking all precautions and requiring increased safety measures from doctors, staff, and patients.

We guarantee that none of the doctors or staff currently working at our clinic have traveled abroad or made conscious contact with people who have recently returned from travels abroad!

The precautions taken by the clinic

Our team is aware that the situation is unexpected and very serious, so we wish to inform everyone about the conditions in the clinic and that we have created mandatory safety rules.

Compliance with self-quarantine

We require that patients cancel their appointments and refrain from making new ones if they have returned from travels abroad and if they have had contact with people who have returned from travels within the last 14 days. Everyone must comply with the requirement to self-quarantine for a time period of 14 days!

Important! The time spent in contact on airplanes and other means of transport, airports, and other hubs of mass transportation is especially dangerous.

Remote consultations

We offer remote consultations over the phone or the Internet — contact our reception desk, and our doctors will advise you in accordance with the clinic’s internal procedures.

It helps if we can see the problem, so please send us a photo that illustrates your issue ahead of your appointment.

Clinic visiting procedure

When arriving at the clinic, please disinfect your hands and keep an optimal distance of 2 m from other people! There should be no more than 2 patients staying in the reception room at any time. We also kindly ask that no more than 1 patient should approach the reception desk at a time.

Do not bring other people with you during your appointments unless the patient is a child accompanied by a parent.

Rules for clinic staff

The staff is required to use face masks if close contact is required, and it is mandatory to use them during patient examination.

If our staff suspects a patient is ill with the virus (symptoms — redness, coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath), our staff will perform a remote temperature measurement, and, if the patient’s temperature is elevated, the clinic has the right to refrain from examining the patient.

Our staff is required to be careful not to touch the outer side of the mask, touch their face, and perform examinations with safety glasses whenever possible.

Additional safety measures on the premises of the clinic

Work surfaces, door handles, and the POS terminal should be disinfected regularly.

If necessary, patients and doctors must be provided with polyethylene gloves for the exchange of documents and cash.

The rooms must be ventilated after each appointment.

Health assessment

IMPORTANT! Again, we emphasize the importance of evaluating your state of health.

It is strictly PROHIBITED to come to our offices or appointments if you detect any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus:

Most common symptoms:

  • Elevated temperature;
  • Fever;
  • Dry cough;
  • Lack of breath;
  • Pneumonia.

Uncommon symptoms:

  • Pain in muscles, joints;
  • Nasal congestion, runny nose;
  • Throat pain;
  • Diarrhea.

Since the incubation period of Covid-19 may last from 2 to 14 days, it is essential to critically evaluate one’s health and quarantine oneself during this period!

Keep track of updates

It is important to remember that the emergency situation may change by the hour, so keep track of the latest information at the clinic’s blog and get up-to-date information on Covid-19 and other news at the clinic’s Facebook page.

We urge everyone to deal with the changes in public life respectfully and to take care of themselves and others.

The health and convenience of every client is the main priority of Prof. J. Ķīsis’ Clinic of Aesthetic Dermatology, so the work of the clinic is currently organized in such a way as to guarantee that our services are provided as safely as possible.
